Genuine Student Form

The admissions team at Empyrean Education Institute (EEI) assess your application against the Empyrean Education Institute course academic and English entry requirements, as well as the EEI admissions team's interpretation of the Genuine Student (GS) assessment criteria set by the Department of Home Affairs. The EEI Genuine Student (GS) form criterion focuses on our assessment of the student's intention to genuinely study in Australia. It asks the same questions as the Department of Home Affairs' GS assessment criteria, and considers various factors, including the applicant's:

-Circumstances, Immigration history, Compliance with visa conditions, Any other relevant matters.

For further information regarding GS criteria, please review the link:

1. The GS form uses the same questions as the Home Affairs Genuine Student (GS) requirement. Should your application be approved and progress, you can choose to use these same responses when applying for a student visa.

• All applicants must demonstrate they are a genuine applicant.

• Applicants must intend to stay as a student and be able to show an understanding that studying in Australia is the primary reason for any application.

• The GS requirement is intended to include students who, after studying in Australia, develop skills Australia needs and who then go on to apply for permanent residence.

• Responses with insufficient or no evidence to support claims will be assessed more strictly.

• EEI considers an applicant’s overall personal circumstances when assessing whether they are a genuine student.

• EEI is under no obligation to provide detail or reasoning behind GS refusals.

• EEI is not obligated or required to offer resubmission guidance or accept resubmissions of GS forms for any student determined to be a non-genuine applicant.
