Orientation Day

As part of our commitment to our students, all new students must attend an Orientation Program before they start their course. An invitation will be emailed to the student by the student services team, advising of the date, time, and venue of the Orientation Program.

Students will be also be reminded of their student visa conditions concerning their course and attendance progress and provided with services to ensure that they will be able to fulfill their educational goals and objectives. By providing the students with the right information at the Orientation Program, the student will easily make the transition into living and studying in Australia, their new home.

The needs and personal development of our students have been and always will be our highest priority, and Empyrean will strive to improve the quality of its courses and services to students.

We appreciate that students may wish to address their concerns regarding any aspect of their study with Empyrean from course arrangements, academic assessments, administration practices and other matters. Our Student Service Department is always available to assist students with information about the Grievances Resolution Process.

The Student Service Department will provide information on what students can do if they have a concern or complaint about our service, including the steps or procedures that could be taken to resolve the concern or complaint.

uNIQUE sTUDENT IDENTIFIER

If you are a new or continuing student undertaking nationally recognised training, you need a (USI) in order to receive your qualification or statement of attainment. If you don’t have a USI you will not receive your qualification or statement of attainment.

What is USI?

Your USI will give you access to an online record of the training you have done since 1 January 2015. You will also be able to produce a comprehensive transcript of your training. This can be used when applying for a job, seeking a credit transfer or demonstrating pre-requisites when undertaking further training.

Do you need a USI?

If you are an international student studying offshore and do not intend on coming to Australia to do your study you do not need a USI. However, if you are an Australian expat or resident and have an Australian ID, you need a USI even if you do the VET course while outside Australia.

Do you want a USI?

If you are an International student who will be studying in Australia you will require a USI. You will only be able to create a USI using once you have arrived in Australia.
